Chris Belluomini

Chris and his wife Karin live in Gilroy California with their 2 young children, Christian (7) and Bella (2).  Chris has been involved in a variety of roles throughout his career in human services.  He has previously served in ministry and administrative positions with the Salvation Army as Director of the Good Samaritan Center and SalWorks, a groundbreaking welfare to work program.  Chris received his graduate degrees from Fuller Theological Seminary, in Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) and Theology (MAT).  He completed his supervision hours working with individuals, couples, and children at La Vie Counseling Center in Pasadena, California, a place uniquely qualified to offer Christian clients a sophisticated integration of spiritual and emotional issues.

Chris became interested in working with older adults while employed with a non-profit that provided safe parking for homeless women living in their vehicles.  Surprised to see how many of his clients were women over the age of 65, Chris was determined not only to find them housing options but to address the larger issue of why there were so few local resources for these older women. Chris is currently a Chaplain at a HumanGood senior living community in Los Gatos, California in the heart of Silicon Valley, where he provides counseling, grief support, caregiver support, and weekly chapel services and bible studies.  As American Baptist Homes of the West and be.group (Presbyterian Homes of Southern California) before HumanGood, the non-profit has supported older adults for nearly 70 years.  Most recently Chris received his Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE) license from the California Department of Social Services.  Chris and his wife Karin hope to continue working with older adults and look forward to learning more from Dr. Michael Parker in this increasingly important area of ministry.
