Thomas McCulley

Thomas M. (Tommy) McCulley is a native of Birmingham, Alabama.  He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Auburn University and is a graduate of The School of Bank Marketing at the University of Colorado and Stonier Graduate School of Banking at Rutgers University.

Mr. McCulley began his working career in 1968 with Standard Oil Company with assignments in Louisville, Kentucky and San Francisco, California as a main frame computer programmer and systems analyst.  He joined AmSouth Bank in 1972 and served on the bank’s Executive Committee, Strategic Planning Committee and Loan Committee and held a wide range of senior management positions during his 26 years.                        

In 1998, Mr. McCulley formed a new company, Prepaid Technologies and currently serves as its Chairman. The company develops and markets electronic payment solutions for various industries.

Mr. McCulley has been active in his community serving in leadership positions on various governing boards including: the United Way, American Red Cross, Epilepsy Foundation, Festival of Arts, The Birmingham Broadway Series, President's Council at Birmingham Southern College, Sloss Furnace, Jefferson County Education Foundation, Alabama Independent Colleges, Magic Moments, Tampa Museum of Art, The Country Club of Birmingham, The Club, and The Girls Club.  He has also been active at St. Mary’s On-the-Highlands Episcopal Church in Birmingham having served on its vestry for 3 terms.
